Céline & Charles Jourdan (vintage gifts)

My favourite aunt recently made my day; she decided to give me some of her things she treasured for years and years and years! One of them is a vintage Céline foulard that I absolutely positively ADORE.
I'm quite a big fan of silk foulards to make an outfit complete,
and this navy blue original Céline is just perfect.

And it just so happens to match with something else she gave to me as a present ; a pair of vintage Charles Jourdan shoes. Charles Jourdan was a French designer of women's shoes quite notorious in the late fifties. I fell in love right away sort to speak. And bonus points : they don't have a stiletto heel which allows me to walk in them all day. I say WIN.

Bottega Veneta Parfum

You might already know Bottega Veneta developed its first women's fragrance, and in addition to original print advertising they hired Bruce Weber to create a superbe short film for the launch of il profumo.
The film is about 3 minutes long and is shot by Bruce Weber under the creative direction of Tomas Maier and features Nine D’Urso (the scent’s face and the daughter of Inès de la Fressange, you know, Karl Lagerfeld's muse for Chanel in the eighties!). It's intended to picture the soul of a fragrance, according to the company. Good job me thinks. You can watch the whole short film on www.bottegavenetaparfum.com. This is the teaser:

The Vintage Mole

Back from holiday with a tan and a new post!

Now this is something a bit different than what I usually write about, but my eye fell on a website of a small family business in the U.K (Dorchester), The Vintage Mole, who offer gorgeous vintage china, glass and linen for your parties! Isn't that just an adorable concept?
I had to think about THIS while writing this blogpost - I'm actually still snickering as we speak-

Their vintage china and the hand embroidered table clothes are al personally selected and they offer ceramic vases as well as period glass to   make it even more picture perfect.

I thought it would be nice to dedicate a post to The Vintage Mole because I simply love the idea of having vintage "gadgets" at a party. A part from that they are reconstructing the online shop (it's a bit messy at the moment) where some amazing antique brooches managed to get my full and undivided attention!
